Front desk staff at the hotel was less than helpful at check in and when we called to reserve. If our whole team wasn't staying there, I would not have booked. Had issues 2 years in a row with this hotel. Rooms are very dated, shower was awful. First stay there, the pool was being renovated, and that was not disclosed to us, and there was no apology offered at check in, just a team of disappointed baseball players
The good was excellent. The meeting space was open and had a lot of natural light, making for a very nice event.
The conference room and bar/restaurant are nice and recently updated. The rooms are from 1980's, hot water is from 1780's, and customer service is non-existent.
Stayed here one night after having a party in one of the conference rooms (conference room was nice food was okay). Woke up the next morning around 7:30 am and did not have any hot water in the room. Called the front desk who had no idea. (Later learned all the rooms were wothout hoy water.) Customer service offered only an extended checkout and said water could be hot around 9:00 am. We could not except the later shower/checkout because we had plans for later. Asked if anything could be done to "make it right". I was told the General Manager, Dave Smith, would call me. He never did. I called several times the following week left messages and was finally contacted only by someone who was not the General Manager and could not authorize anything to "make it right". She could apologize but not much more. She said she would have to chexk with Dave Smith to see if anything could be done. To date nothing has been done. I am still waiting to hear from Dave Smith. Still waiting to for anything to "make it right". When you pay for a hotel room the minimum expectation is to get a clean room, quiet and comfortable place to sleep, and a hot shower. Well Conley's cannot deliver on that and cannot even have an authority call back and offer more than "I am sorry."
I attended a short conference presentation so I didn't experience much of the resort. The landscaping is nice, main building was clean and well maintained. The conference room had a view of the golf course, was comfortable and functional. A place I'd like to visit again.
I live locally and decided to buy ,to go, dinner. The people eating at the bar all had typical deep fried food, looked really good if your into fried food. My, to go dinners, pork chop with pineapple chutney, wild rice and veggies was horrible. Pork chop, pan fried, plain, dry. Pineapple chutney, just canned pineapple chunks. Wild rice, one tablespoon of white rice. Veggies, canned peas and carrots, ala 60's cafeteria grade school menu that even Sister Anne would let us throw in the trash back then. Beer was cold while I waited. White tablecloths are quite puzzling considering the quality.
